Not able to make payments to the IRS?
If you are in a financial situation where you are not able to make monthly payments to the IRS (i.e. loss of a job, expenses exceed income, etc.) and you are not a candidate for an Offer-In-Compromise, we can work to have your account placed in currently not collectable status.
The IRS is prevented from collection enforcement action for accounts in CNC status. While in CNC status, the collection statute of limitations continues to run and can expire.
